SHOW IMAGING SUPPORTS INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT / JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL MONTANANS
Show Imaging develops partnerships to create jobs for local Montanans and lay the groundwork for sustainable employment.
Whitefish, MT - Show Imaging, Inc. is proud to announce a partnership with the University of Montana (UM), Flathead Valley Community College (FVCC) and Under the Big Sky Festival to create opportunities and jobs for local Montanans in the entertainment and live events industry. In an effort to find local talent and foster the next generation of industry professionals, Show Imaging has been working to identify great partners with a shared vision.
Born out of the partnership between Show Imaging and the University of Montana’s Entertainment Management program, a cohort of 10 UMEM students traveled to Beverly Hills, California for first-hand experience with live event production for Pollstar Live! 2023. Students had opportunities to gain hands-on experience in the live entertainment space and envision future paths forward in their career exploration. In July 2023, Show Imaging was pleased to hire 3 of the UMEM graduates into full-time Production Coordinator positions.
Through the UMEM partnership, Show Imaging was introduced to Lynn-Wood Fields, founder of the Media Training Center at Flathead Valley Community College. Lynn-Wood Fields is a Flathead Valley native, an award-winning filmmaker and producer, and instructor for the newly-launched Production Assistant Rapid Training course. Show Imaging is a proud sponsor of the program, offering seven scholarships to expand access for local Montanans in the region’s booming media and entertainment industry. “As Montanans face economic competition from remote workers, I am passionate about training crew from our state for workforce development and competitive incomes. I am beyond grateful to our partners at FVCC and with Show Imaging who are investing in our community,” says Fields.
"With the growth and success of the locally owned and operated ‘Under the Big Sky Festival’ in Whitefish, I am so pleased that the festival, Show Imaging and the University of Montana Entertainment Management Program have formed a strategic partnership with the Media Training Center. The ability for us to recruit, train and employ Montanans for our expanding list of concerts and festivals across the state is amazing!”, remarked Steven Evans, Founder of Show Imaging and Festival Director for Under the Big Sky.
Looking to the future, Steven is excited to see many of our new friends and partners involved in the Under the Big Sky Festival this July. Whether it be production, logistics, artists relations or technical positions, we are excited to hire several local Montanans on staff for Under the Big Sky this year and in the years ahead.
